This isn’t the first time these popular baskets have appeared on retailers' shelves for spring; they return each year shortly before Easter, and customers say they sell out soon after restocking. Fortunately, Trader Joe's stores typically restock their plant shelves every day. Why Everyone's Obsessed

Trader Joe's succulent baskets make for a colorful, one-of-a-kind spring centerpiece. The basket is made of woven dried flower stems and wrapped in burlap; the handle and exterior are studded with colorful dried blooms, typically in shades of white and purple. The basket is tightly wrapped with wire, so it securely holds the potting soil inside. 

In the basket, you’ll often find colorful echeveria and jade plants. These succulents grow well together, so you don’t need to worry about separating them. Each basket contains around six succulents, all with unique colors and shapes.

How to Care for Your Succulent Basket

Give your succulents lots of sunlight and be careful not to overwater them; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Right now, your spring succulent basket is in its growing season, so the soil will likely dry out after a week or so. During the winter, your succulents will need less water, as little as once a month.

Since the flowers in each Easter basket are pre-dried, your basket will likely last a long time. Customers have successfully kept theirs for many months, or even years, because the handle is thick and wrapped in wire, making it fairly sturdy.

Over time, you may notice that the basket’s dried flowers fade or fall, especially when exposed to bright sunlight. This is normal; you can simply repot the entire arrangement into a new planter, or carefully remove the dried flower handle and keep the burlap basket as-is.
