Personality-Driven Decor Is Driving Design
According to Stacey Shively, chief merchandising officer at Michaels, the new collections were driven by “a shift toward more expressive, personality-driven spaces, where customers are mixing trends, layering textures, and creating homes that feel collected over time.” The three collections—Cosmetique, Modern Coast, and Hothouse—are bold in color and are meant to bring texture and fun to any space for both daily life and having company over.
“We're seeing people embrace more frequent, casual gatherings at home.” Shively continued in a press release, “and these collections are designed to make it easy to refresh your space in a way that feels joyful, inspiring, and ready for the season."
All three decor collections are now available at Michaels stores nationwide or online from Michaels.com.

1. Cosmetique
The first of the new Michaels collections, Cosmetique, is inspired by Parisian cafe culture and the Bridgerton-inspired Regencycore trend. It is a playful, but elegant style defined by soft blush tones, sculptural elements, and, of course, plenty of nods to coffee, florals, and a deep love for a gallery wall.
Highlights of the collection include elegant ribbed ceramic coffee mugs available in three shades for just over $10 each and a pink floral accent pillow for $24. A large scalloped wall mirror that will be the star of any room is available for $78.

2. Modern Coast
It seems like just about everyone is looking to tap into a relaxed, coastal state of mind this summer, and that design ethos is reflected in Modern Coast, Michaels’ second new collection. Modern Coast mixes natural textures with a neutral palette to create a “lived-in feel,” the company said.
The collection offers items that exude beach access no matter where you live, including a coastal rope tabletop lamp priced at $36, a stylish blue seashell trinket dish for $18, and a timeless glass vase available in three shades—clear, dark blue, or light blue—for $9 each. It's all a bit The Summer I Turned Pretty, no?

3. Hothouse
The most exuberant of the three new Michaels decor collections, Hothouse leans into the trends of dopamine decor and maximalism, with a particular focus on tropical prints and dramatic floral motifs. This is not a collection for the shrinking violets among us.
An eye-catching rattan planter priced at $60, an abstract floral print footed wood bowl for $18, and a $36 tropical flower pillow are all transporting us to the lanai to take in the balmy Miami sun on our favorite episode of Golden Girls in the best way.
