"The idea of creating things that feel more design-forward, more intentional, more inspired by our daily lives, and not just by function; I think that's the real shift—that bridge between technology and beauty," Brent says.

Specifically in the Shark Home Luxe Collection, the design and colorways of the products were selected so that the appliances don't need to be shielded from guests but can instead be displayed as pieces of decor. "The fact that you could have your wireless vacuum out and it's in a tone that's not offensive, it's really pretty, the design is interesting, and it can blend into your home is huge," he says. Brent notes this is largely thanks to the line's sophisticated palette and appropriate scale.

"We put so much thought into the pieces that make up our homes, like our furniture, our lighting, our art, our accessories, but cleaning products have been traditionally left out of that conversation," Brent says. "The idea that something is beautiful, but will not sacrifice on any of the actual performance, it's a big deal." Brent's Favorite (and Least Favorite) Cleaning Tasks

A self-declared vacuum enthusiast, Brent says he can't help but be a bit biased towards this collection, as it involves his favorite chore. "Nobody loves to vacuum more than I do. It brings me such joy—I love the instant gratification of vacuuming."

When it comes to his least favorite cleaning duty, he says it's a tie between laundry and dishes, particularly the latter, as his husband tends to rearrange his work. "I have a Virgo husband who goes behind me and changes everything. He turns into a Swedish architect when it comes to the dishwasher being loaded."
