I'm slowly curating a home that feels intentional, and this starts with pieces I can style and rely on for years to come. The second I laid eyes on a particular bar cabinet from the Better Homes & Gardens Collection at Walmart, I knew it would fit right in with my vision. With ample countertop space, I now have a dedicated area for crafting delicious cocktails and mocktails, and the shelving inside keeps everything concealed and organized. Here's how I transformed my beverage corner with the Juliet Arch Door Kitchen Console.

In my living room, there was one undeniable eyesore: a blank wall that jutted out just enough to make the space feel awkward and unfinished. It was the kind of in-between spot that's too narrow for most furniture but too visible to ignore. Then, I found this bar cabinet, and it felt practically made for the space.

After a quick assembly, the result was a beautiful wooden piece with charmingly curved doors that open to generous storage space. The interior shelf is big enough to fit plenty of bar supplies, in addition to hanging wine glasses and other cups. My favorite part: the bottom tier, which features dedicated slots for wine bottles.

Decorating the Console

Decorating a focal point in your home can feel daunting. First, I rounded up a few items I knew I wanted to showcase on the surface: a couple of cookbooks, my current favorite vinyl, Anthropologie Icon glasses, and, of course, some bar cart supplies. I also recently framed a print, and opted to lean it against the wall behind the cabinet.

Inside the bar cabinet, I hung my purple wine glasses on the top shelf alongside miscellaneous cocktail glasses. I also stashed a few mixers on the same shelf, readily available for future gatherings but concealed enough where they don't clash with my living room decor.

Although I'm still a novice when it comes to concocting the perfect sip, I now have a dedicated, organized space to experiment and learn.
