The console not only looks luxe and so much more expensive than its price tag, but it’s also finally freed up so much space in my kitchen. I decided to style it as a cocktail cabinet (a more grown-up approach to the bar cart) with my favorite wine bottles on display and a little martini tray with one of my favorite glasses. It instantly elevated the overall room and created a functional and cozy corner for hosting dinner parties.

The interior of the cabinet, meanwhile, is expansive. There’s a full wine rack on the bottom, which I used to organize additional bottles. I discreetly stored away other kitchen essentials in the back and used the top shelf, which is even larger, for glassware, dinnerware, and other bar accessories.

The design’s wood construction feels durable and sturdy, even on my creaky uneven floors. The top surface of the cabinet has a 50 pound capacity, while the interior shelf can hold up to 30 pounds itself. I opted for the honey-colored shade over BHG’s alternative black hue, and it has effortlessly warmed up my space.

Shoppers are fans of the piece, too. One person said they were absolutely floored by the quality and added that they skipped the wine rack addition during assembly so they could use it as a classic cabinet for storage. Another customer said they planned on purchasing a $980 buffet table until they found this $118 version that turned out even better than they thought.
