“For texture, lean into contrast: velvet alongside mesh, faux fur next to something structured, soft and romantic pieces playing off bold and unexpected ones,” Shively says. “Finish with embellishments, tassels, sequins, decorative fringe, the kinds of details that make a space feel curated over years rather than designed in an afternoon.”
